AERG designs precise, research-based treatment solutions
for the greening of brownfields and other commercial sites contaminated
with hazardous chemicals. Leveraging an unparalleled network
of scientists and engineering professionals,
AERG saves you
time and money in transforming your site to meet EPA and local
environmental regulations while restoring its value for use.
We are dedicated to harnessing the earth's natural chemistry
to heal the environment. AERG provides advanced
In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO),
In-Situ Chemical Reduction (ISCR), and
In-Situ Chemical Bioremediation (ISB) remediation of even the most intractable contaminants,
using environmentally safe, biodegradable oxidation and reduction chemicals to transform hazardous chemicals into natural compounds
that commonly occur in the earth's surface.

How We Work
|
|
|
|
|
AERG is your partner throughout the remediation process.
Working either under subcontract to environmental consulting
and engineering firms or directly with corporate Environmental
Health & Safety professionals, our scientists design and conduct
laboratory tests using advanced chemistry techniques to develop
targeted, timely and cost-effective treatment solutions.
In order to maintain the validity
and reliability of results, AERG implements strict lab function,
safety and contaminant handling protocols.

Our Process
|
|
|
|
|
Successful remediation depends upon selection of the correct
oxidation chemical and most effective catalyst, which must then
be implemented at the optimal dosage levels. Our scientists
perform initial site and bench-scale screening tests on groundwater,
wastewater, catch water, sludge, and soil to
create a solution customized to the unique needs of your site, then continue to
work with site engineers to ensure optimal gradients and injection of oxidation chemicals throughout implementation.
- We begin by conducting Soil Oxidant Demand testing followed by treatability studies on representative contaminated water and soil samples from your site at our state-of-the-art laboratory.
- Running tests in triplicate to ensure reliable and accurate data, our scientists determine the optimal combination and levels of oxidant and activating chemicals needed to treat your site's unique conditions.
- Using this data and working alongside with remediation engineers, a customized remediation strategy is designed to bring your site into full compliance with EPA and local regulations.
- Bench and site pilot programs are conducted to optimize the strategy for full-scale implementation with minimal site disruption.
- Throughout implementation, AERG provides ongoing consulting to engineers in the field to adapt and adjust to site-specific issues.
